St. Alban’s School supports the parish in many ways and our Parish Priests Father Devan and Father Ramesh support the religious life of the school. Children attend mass on Holy days and for other special celebrations. The children have the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation before Easter and have a class mass during the year. They will also visit the church as part of their RE lessons in school or for special school events.
Once a month the children play a special part in the Parish Sunday Mass at 9.30am and year groups take it in turn to lead this. We rely on parents to work in partnership with us to develop the religious and spiritual lives of their children by taking them to mass regularly.
Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist (First Confession and First Communion) takes place in the parish and is organised by the parish priest and a team of catechists with the support of the school R.E co-ordinator. Parents are invited to enrol their children for preparation usually in the Autumn term of Year 3.
